Knowledge, Anxiety, and Fear of the Unknown Among Pregnant Women During COVID-19 Pandemic

Background: This study aimed to determine pregnant women’s knowledge about COVID-19 and their anxiety fear of the unknown. Methods: online cross-sectional was conducted in March April 2020 on Iranian women visiting comprehensive healthcare centers affiliated with Gonabad University Medical Sciences. Participants were selected using a stratified random sampling strategy among who agreed participate, had Telegram or WhatsApp account phone number, no history pregnancy complications. A demographic questionnaire, Spielberger’s state-trait inventory, fearing unknown an uncertainty scale used collect data. Data analyzed simple multiple linear regression models SPSS software, version 16. Results: total 190 included analysis. The Mean±SD for 8.82±1.72. 71.1% participants moderate. 36.2±9.1. state incidence 47.6±10.2. results showed that 65.3% moderate level anxiety. Multiple analysis increase 0.16 (P=0.029) score each week gestational age. Similarly, increased by 0.56 (P<0.001) unit Moreover, people 3.44 units more than others (P<0.018) Conclusion: findings at time research.
